Centered On Connecting
Why We Believe
Belief is an acceptance that a statement is true or that something exists. It's about having trust and confidence in someone or something. This means that everyone believes in something or in someone. At some point, someone had a profound influence in your life that inspired you to grasp a hold of an ideal, notion, or view that has created a kind of firm ground for you to stand on.
Destiny Live does not exist to convert people...it exists to connect with people. Imagine meeting in diverse groups filled with people from different backgrounds, with distinct views and beliefs. Envision what we could learn from one another as well as about one another if we accepted and expected an opportunity to connect - not convert.
We believe in the teachings and principles found in the Bible. For us, our beliefs or faith is about The One in whom the Bible points to!
What's It All About?
For us, God is the Creator of all things who eternally exists and is connected to all He created. We believe He is for us all a Father (God); a Savior (Jesus), and a Provider (Holy Spirit). One Father, One Lord, One Spirit - who loves us ALL! It's not a question of whether He exists or not, it's a quest to see His teachings exist within us in order that we might begin to live an Empowered Life!

The Bible
The Bible is God's Word for all people. Written by human authors who were inspired by God's Spirit. Because it was and is inspired by God, it is an outline of His teachings and guidance that is relevant for our daily lives. To simply put it, the Bible is an inspired document revealing to us the One who is infallible.

God Authentic Relationship - Our Father
All of us were created in the image and likeness of God in order that we might have a deep-personal relationship with Him. We've all at one time or another alienated our relationship with Him. As a result, we cannot experience true relationships by our own efforts. We need God, who is an authentic Father to us all!

He lived a perfect life, so that He could be a substitution for us in satisfying God’s demands for perfection. He defeated death in His resurrection so that we could have life, and experience that life eternally.

Christians & Christ
All who call themselves Christians should understand that they are affirming to live a life for God and not themselves. To be God-Centered and not Self-Centered. Listening to and doing God Word by yielding daily to His Spirit. Every faithful follower should be maturely conformed to the image of Christ, who is God Himself. This is part of what it means to live a life Empowered!

The Church - Person, People, Purpose
Church is about being a community of those faithfully united too God and each other. It's not simply a place, but a Person (Christ), who is the head; a People (Community), that equips and empowers others; and a Purpose (Connecting), to love God and one another. For us, it's about connecting with people to connect them with Christ.
